Jumpstart Refugee Talent is a refugee-led, charitable organization with offices in Toronto,  Montreal, Vancouver, and Calgary and the only national organization exclusively serving refugees seeking meaningful economic opportunities. Founded in 2016, we focus on the economic empowerment of newly settled refugees in Canada by facilitating meaningful employment and entrepreneurial opportunities.

About the Volunteer Roles
As a volunteer with Jumpstart, you have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of newly settled refugees. Join our compassionate and driven community, dedicated to helping individuals overcome barriers and rebuild their careers.

1. Mentor

Welcome Talent Canada’s mentorship program connects skilled Canadian professionals with refugees, fostering career advancement across diverse professional backgrounds. We welcome mentors from all fields to participate.

2. Resume Specialist

Crafting a strong resume is crucial for job success, presenting a snapshot of skills and qualifications. Join our volunteer team to work directly with refugees, providing one-on-one support in creating impactful resumes.

3. Interview Coach

Support refugee clients in improving their interviewing skills to enhance confidence and empower them to succeed in securing meaningful employment. By simulating real job interviews with refugees, they receive constructive feedback on responses, body language, and overall presentation to enhance their confidence and interview skills.
