Identifying a Need Abroad
An English teacher by profession, Huda was living in Istanbul, Turkey, in 2016 when she first noticed a significant gap in the market: a challenge to find fashionable, high quality modest clothing; particularly in inclusive sizing. Driven by this need, she launched her business on Facebook Marketplace. Her unique vision quickly resonated, catapulting her to success with an impressive 70,000 followers.
Persistence and Rebirth
The transition to Canada in 2017 brought a new set of hurdles. Replicating her previous success proved challenging, leading Huda to pause her entrepreneurial dream and seek a new career path.
This patience paid off. Two years ago, Huda connected with Jumpstart, who offer a supportive program for entrepreneurs. Through the program, she secured both financial support and a one-year mentorship, giving her the resources and guidance needed for a powerful re-launch.
After investing time, effort and monetary investment into her vision, Huda officially unveiled her new website three months ago, ready to re-establish her business in the Canadian market.

While in Turkey, she served as Director for the Alsham Foundation and in Syria she launched a small, impactful initiative teaching Syrian children English. Currently, Huda is running the entire operation herself and is focused on growth. She is actively seeking volunteers to support her marketing efforts and help share her vision with a wider audience.
