Jumpstart is currently developing the Entrepreneurship 360 initiative. It aims to create an ecosystem exclusively for refugee entrepreneurs with early-stage high-growth businesses and support them to overcome their two largest obstacles: acquiring the requisite funding and training to successfully reach Proof of Concept stages.
As Entrepreneurship 360 is being developed, we currently work with refugee entrepreneurs on a case-by-case basis.
HER Startup (HomERun Refugee Startup), is a partnership between Jumpstart and the Syrian Canadian Foundation. It is an entrepreneurial training and incubation program for refugee women. This is the first of its kind program globally that has the potential not only to change a lot in refugee service sector when it comes to creating entrepreneurship programs for refugee women but, it will also have the potential to transform the lives of refugee women that will be chosen at the end to own and lead their startup.
The program is unique to other refugee entrepreneurship programs as it offers not only training, but incubation, seed funding, mentors, access to top investment organizations and a dedicated business consultant to help them build their startup and propel them to success during the incubation phase of the program.
