Recruitment Partner

Sumaya is a Recruitment Partner with the Refugee Talent Hub Team, where she advocates for better inclusion of refugee talent in the Canadian workforce by building relationships with employers and supporting refugees in finding meaningful employment. With 15+ years of experience in Business and Organizational Development, she has a proven track record of working in Startup environments and for Multinational companies in the MENA region across various industries such as pharmaceuticals, insurance, and FMCG. As a result, she has developed strong business acumen skills and implemented HR strategies that align the organization's human capital management with its overall business objectives. In her previous roles, Sumaya has also demonstrated expertise in mitigating risks related to employee management and behavior, as well as the practices and procedures used by human resources in the hiring and termination of employees. Through her efforts, she has protected organizations from potential legal and financial liabilities and ensured that their employee management and HR practices align with their values and overall business goals. Sumaya is bilingual, speaking Arabic and English. Sumaya is passionate about the topic of refugee economic inclusion and believes the commitment to this cause will make a significant impact in improving the lives of refugees and creating a more equitable society for all.
