Grants and Communications Partner
Hannah Ahamedi is a graduate from the University of Toronto – Victoria College with a major in peace, conflict and justice studies at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy. She also completed minors in diaspora/transnational studies and history. Hannah currently works with Jumpstart Refugee Talent to support fundraising efforts, and has held previous positions at Grand Challenges Canada, The Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, and The Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy. Hannah has worked extensively in education policy reform research within an African context and is an advocate for global disarmament. Her position as co-chair of the National Youth Action and Advisory Committee (NYAAC) at Amnesty International Canada shaped her interest in peacebuilding and human rights, specifically in conflict-affected areas. Hannah hopes to fuse her research, passion for public discourse, and advocacy to create innovative solutions that Centre on women’s empowerment for combatting religious extremism in Yemen and the Swahili Coast”.
