As part of Jumpstart Refugee Talent’s ongoing commitment to engage with our clients and other job seekers with forced displacement experience, Jumpstart organizes monthly ‘Ask Me Anything’ sessions.
This virtual event is designed to provide a platform for clients to openly discuss their career journey, seek advice, and address any challenges they may be facing. We believe in fostering a supportive community, and these sessions aim to empower clients with valuable insights and guidance in their journey to finding meaningful employment.
For our August session, we are excited to be joined by four guests including Mona Ali and Laura Dantsis who are Project Coordinators of the Full Stack .NET Cloud Developer and the IT Infrastructure Bridging Programs at Humber College, as well as Yaman Sanobar and Aleem Tariq, both from Coding in Colour. This latter is a partnership project between the Canada’s Digital Supercluster and Foundation for a Path Forward. The project is dedicated to closing the tech industry gap by empowering the underrepresented peoples of Canada with cutting-edge coding skills. It is a six-month boot camp for people of all coding levels, with a curriculum that was developed by our industry-expert instructors, with premium resources from industry giants like Microsoft.
